I AM WHITE, MARRIED TO A MAESTRA OR PROFESSORA FOR 26 YEARS NOW…I SPEAK SPANISH IN OUR HOME, IN OCEANSIDE CALIFORNIA. I TAKE CARE OF SOME CAR WASHES AND WHEN I HEAR OTHER MEXICANS SPEAKING SPANISH, I ASK THEM IF THEY WANT TO LEARN ENGLISH…I THEN TELL THEM TO TALK WITH ME IN ENGLISH AND I WILL HELP THEM…AND I WILL TALK WITH THEM IN SPANISH AND THEY WILL HELP ME…WELL, I AM GETTING PRETTY GOOD AT SPANISH NOW, AND I NEVER TOOK A CLASS!!..THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE MEXICANOS NEVER LEARNED ENGLAIS, BECAUSE WHEN I TALKED IN ESPANOL WITH THEM…THEY JUST STAYED IN SPANISH MODE!!…I HAVE HAD TWO CONVERTS IN THE LAST 40 YEARS…A YOUNG LADY(WHO DOES’NT SEEM TO HAVE ANY ACCENT ANYMORE) THAT I HAVE WORKED WITH FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS…AND A GUY THAT I WORKED WITH OFF AND ON FOR 35 YEARS WHO PICKED IT UP SO FAST THAT HE CAN READ THE WANT AD ABBREVIATIONS FASTER THAN I CAN THE NEWSPAPER….I LOVE YOUR TOON…AND MY GRANDAUGHTERS NAME IS “GRACIE”…JIM

Nella and Paul thanks for being loyal Baldo readers and for the kind words. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the trailer.

Paul, the animation is made for TV. The network at this point is undetermined. If for whatever reason we can’t make the TV deal happen, we then distribute via web or DVD.

i don’t know a time when i haven’t read this comic, so i’m very excited to see it an animated form. But i have two questions is this a webcomic or a show that is going to air on televison? if so, on what channel is it going to air?

Carlos, this is great. I love the comics, not only because I am from hispanic origin and can relate to most of, but because it is also funny and warm. It’s content is amazing! To be able to watch it would be wonderful… I do hope you get this done soon. My best wishes to you.

Hi Marty, thanks for the feedback. Glad you like it it. I’m pretty stoked about the project and look forward to see how far we can take it. As it stands, we don’t have a home for it as of yet but we’re working on it and have several interested parties.

Maybe we’ll leak out one of the episodes in the near future.
